Project and Research Interests
My project is focused on the role trace metals play in microbial ecology, with particular reference to (i) methane cycling; and (ii) granular biofilm development in anaerobic digesters.
I graduated from the National University of Ireland Galway in 2014 with a first class honours BSc in Environmental Science. Following graduation, I held various positions in wastewater treatment and environmental consultancy before beginning my PhD in January 2017.
Some of my interests outside of the lab include sports & fitness, hiking, rock climbing and fishing.
